What you’ll do:
- Perform heating and cooling load calculations for residential, commercial, industrial, and healthcare buildings.
- Design HVAC and Plumbing construction document plans for permitting by building departments.
- Execute energy calculations in compliance with the Florida Building Code.
- Respond to RFIs (requests for information) submitted by contractors and project managers regarding construction document plans.
- Review submittals and specifications of the projects.
- Provide as-built HVAC construction document plans.
- Attend meetings with clients, architects, and developers.
- Respond to comments from building departments throughout the permitting process.
What you must have:
- A Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience designing HVAC and Plumbing systems for U.S.-based projects.
- Strong understanding of heating and cooling load calculations and Florida Building Code requirements.
- Experience reviewing submittals and responding to RFIs.
- Familiarity with creating construction documents and as-built plans.
- Advanced English level.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
