At BetterPros, we connect top-tier Latin American talent with U.S.-based companies that need their skills. We’re a fast-paced, mission-driven startup, and we’re looking for someone equally dynamic to join our team as our first Tech & AI Operations Specialist.
This is a brand new role for someone who’s not only passionate about technology, but about making things work better. You’ll be our go-to person to help us optimize, automate, and elevate the way our business operates—across recruiting, admin, and client delivery. If you love solving problems, building solutions from scratch, and you’re constantly exploring new tools (especially AI-driven ones), this might be your ideal next step.
As part of this role, you’ll also lead a small but mighty Ops team, guiding their work, setting priorities, and helping them grow. You’ll need strong leadership and people management skills to make sure your team is aligned, empowered, and effective.
What you’ll do:
- Identify inefficiencies and propose tech-enabled solutions across teams (Sales, Recruiting, Admin, Production).
- Automate manual processes using tools like Zapier or custom scripts.
- Explore and implement AI-powered tools that increase our team’s productivity.
- Develop and implement efficient operational processes and procedures.
- Create dashboards and reports to visualize performance and support decision-making.
- Document systems, tools, and workflows clearly for others to use and improve upon.
- Research and test new technologies that could bring value to our operations.
- Be a tech-savvy partner for team members who need support or guidance.
- Manage and maintain data in CRM systems, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date records.
- Lead and support the Ops team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
- Provide mentorship, prioritize team goals, and align their work with company objectives.
What you must have:
- Background in technology, systems engineering, computer science or similar.
- Strong interest (and ideally, experience) in AI tools and automation platforms.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Looker Studio or Power BI.
- You’re a quick learner and you’re not afraid to dive into something new and figure it out.
- Self-starter with a builder mindset.
- You can prioritize and adapt fast in a changing, startup-like environment.
- Fluent in English and able to communicate ideas clearly with non-technical colleagues.
- Proven experience leading or managing a small team, with strong organizational and communication skills.
A great plus:
- Experience in startups or entrepreneurial environments.
- Previous experience supporting cross-functional teams.
- Experience working with HubSpot or other CRMs.
