What you’ll do:
- System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain SAP ECC systems on Linux servers, including application servers, database servers, and related components
- Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability of SAP environments.
- Security Management: Implement and maintain security protocols, manage user roles and authorizations, and ensure compliance with security policies.
- System Upgrades: Plan and execute SAP system upgrades, patches, and enhancement packages, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to business operations.
- Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies, ensuring data integrity and system availability.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve system issues, provide technical support to end-users, and coordinate with other IT teams for problem resolution.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Utilize monitoring tools to track system performance, generate reports, and provide insights for continuous improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with functional and technical teams to support SAP projects, enhancements, and integrations
What you must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an SAP Basis Administrator, with a focus on SAP ECC and Linux environments.
- Proficiency in SAP Basis administration.
- Strong knowledge of SAP ECC components and architecture.
- Expertise in Linux operating systems (e.g., Red Hat, SUSE).
- Experience with database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP HANA, SQL Server).
- Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager.
- Understanding of network and security protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- An advanced English level.
A great plus:
- SAP certification in Basis Administration
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA migration and upgrade processes.
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Ansible, Python).
