Description

The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget, specifically managing projects valued over $4 million. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The IT Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. What you’ll do:

Project Planning and Management

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
  • Lead the development and execution of large-scale IT projects, such as building new environments or data centers, ensuring they are completed within budget and deadlines.

Team Coordination

  • Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Serve as the engineering lead, utilizing strong project management skills to guide technical teams.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Liaise with project stakeholders, including customers, on an ongoing basis.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Maintain excellent communication in English, both written and verbal, to ensure clear understanding across all project stakeholders.

Quality Assurance

    • Conduct project post-mortems and create a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
    • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.

What you must have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is highly desirable.
  • 5+ years of direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution. 
  • Experience managing IT budgets and working with Azure, Enterprise Projects, ClickUp, and Licensing.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development life cycle (SDLC), and project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA).
  • Proficiency in using Azure and ClickUp is essential.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • An advanced English level.
