Better Day 2022 – What’s It All About? (Part 2)

At first, everyone played around in the sun, forming impromptu teams by age, name, or the time they’d been working at BetterPros.

Now, if breakfast was a good icebreaker, then team building is when the ice melted!
At first, everyone played around in the sun, forming impromptu teams by age, name, or the time they’d been working at BetterPros.
Then, for a few hours, the group of 70+ people separated into four teams and engaged in fun activities and games in one of the hotel’s large conference rooms.
Of course, all four teams gave it their all. They competed fiercely, but with a spirit of camaraderie that permeated the whole thing, with jokes and quips being traded across teams.
Also, the team-building exercises were a fantastic way to showcase everyone’s different skill sets. BetterPros is home to over 350 professionals, many of who are architects and senior engineers. But we also have a diverse internal team made up of sales experts, recruiters, designers, coaches, and marketers.
These exercises helped them get to know one another and collaborate in a way that just can’t be achieved remotely. And it became increasingly obvious who was the matt whiz, the quiz expert, the bricolage genius, and even the dance-off star! Everyone had a chance to shine.
But, one team had to win it all, and that was team one, who beat the rest by a large margin. That doesn’t mean that everyone else did badly, though, because Better Pros as a whole beat all-time scores from other companies!
It just shows that there’s a crazy level of talent in this company!
1:30 pm – Lunch Time!
Spirits were running high after the team-building exercises, and everyone was looking forward to a nice meal. The team filed away to a set of three long tables under the cool shade of a tree grove in the middle of a vast stretch of green countryside close to the hotel.
The attendees were delighted to find a full-course meal waiting for them. Long tables were set with cheeses, salads, loaves of bread, and other delights.
Everyone was happy as they chatted and exchanged stories and work experiences over glasses of wine, beer, or water. But they were also careful not to overeat because it was time for the Asado!
The Asado—and Argentinian-style BBQ—was packed with high-quality cuts grilled to perfection. Every delicacy, from beef to sausages, was mouth-watering. Meat lovers on the team were over the moon about this delicious treat.
After everyone had enjoyed a plate—or three—it was time for a small rest. But not too long, because the main event awaited!
