What you’ll do:
- Become familiar with CDC’s AutoCAD standards, including styles, layers, annotations, layouts, and details.
- Review CDC’s latest CADD manual and gain limited access to CDC’s AutoCAD Library, including standard details, layouts, and data folders.
- Understand and apply local engineering standards and specifications for Steamboat Springs, Colorado, USA.
- Review the latest standards, specifications, and checklists to ensure compliance.
- Assist in preparing both development/preliminary-level plans and detailed construction plans, including creating and updating plans, profiles, cover sheets, TOCs, section views, details, specifications, and notes.
- Manage and update layouts, title blocks, dates, TOCs, sheet sets, and submittal documents.
- Support drainage studies by creating and updating reports, drainage exhibits, basin delineations, and hydrologic/hydraulic calculations.
- Perform hydraulic calculations and generate reports using AutoCAD Express.
What you must have:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of civil engineering experience, with a focus on AutoCAD drafting, site development, and drainage studies.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD Express.
- Strong knowledge of local engineering standards and specifications (City of Steamboat Springs, Colorado).
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent English communication skills and teamwork abilities.
