What you’ll do:
- Design and optimize coastal protection structures, balancing durability and environmental sustainability.
- Conduct studies on wave energy, sedimentation, and hydrodynamics to inform project designs.
- Ensure compliance with international and local engineering standards.
- Perform structural analysis of green-grey solutions like seawalls, breakwaters, or living shorelines.
- Evaluate designs to ensure robustness under varying environmental conditions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including environmental and structural engineers.
What you must have:
- 5+ years of experience in coastal or civil engineering, specializing in coastal protection design.
- Proficiency in hydrodynamic and structural modeling tools (e.g., MIKE21, SWAN, SAP2000, or PLAXIS).
- Solid understanding of sediment transport and geotechnical principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop sustainable solutions.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with international engineering standards (e.g., ASCE, ISO, ASTM).
