— WHY OUTSOURCE DATA ANALYSIS
Three patterns we see over and over.
Your data lives in five places and none of them agree
Your CRM, accounting, and ops sheets don't agree. Pulling one number takes hours. A dedicated analyst consolidates the sources.
You're making decisions on instinct because reporting is too slow
Monthly reports land after the decision window closes. A remote analyst automates reporting so numbers stay fresh.
You can't justify a full-time analyst hire yet
A senior US analyst runs into six figures. Nearshore gives the capability without the US salary or hiring cycle.

FAQs: know more about our data analysis services
What's the difference between a data analyst and a data engineer or data scientist?
Our analysts focus on business analysis: dashboards, KPI tracking, recurring reporting, and ad hoc analysis to support decision-making. They write SQL, build BI dashboards, and translate business questions into data answers. Data engineering work (pipeline architecture, large-scale ETL infrastructure) and data science (machine learning, predictive modeling) sit in our IT vertical. Most mid-market businesses need a data analyst, not a data scientist.
What BI tools do your analysts work with?
Our talent pool covers the major US platforms: Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, Looker, Domo, Qlik, and Sigma. We confirm your exact stack during screening and match analysts with hands-on experience in it. If you’re between tools or just starting to build a reporting layer, our senior analysts can advise on which platform fits your data sources, team size, and budget.
Can they write SQL and work directly with our database?
Yes. SQL is core to the role and a non-negotiable in our screening. Our analysts write production-grade queries against PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, BigQuery, Snowflake, and Redshift, and can connect to your warehouse through your standard authentication. For more advanced work, many of our analysts also work in Python and dbt.
Can they integrate data from multiple sources?
Yes. Most of our engagements involve consolidating data from accounting, CRM, operations, and marketing systems. Our analysts work with native connectors in Power BI and Tableau, ETL tools like Fivetran and Stitch, and lightweight automation in Zapier or Make when a full pipeline isn’t justified.
Do they have industry experience for AEC and construction firms?
Yes. Several of our analysts have worked with AEC firms on project margin tracking, pipeline analysis, resource utilization reporting, and integration with Procore, Deltek, and Sage. If your business runs project-based, we match analysts with the right industry context.
Can they build dashboards we'll actually use, not just pretty reports?v
This is what we screen for. Our analysts work with stakeholders to identify the decisions a dashboard needs to support, build accordingly, and iterate based on real usage. Pretty dashboards that nobody opens are easy to build. Dashboards that get checked every Monday morning take a different skillset, and that’s what we test for.
How is data security handled?
Your analyst accesses your systems through your standard security protocols: MFA, role-based permissions, and approved devices. BetterPros does not store your business data on our infrastructure. For companies with SOC 2, HIPAA, or other compliance requirements, we confirm device and network setup during onboarding.
Can I start with one analyst and add more later?
Yes. Most engagements start with one analyst focused on a specific function, finance reporting, operations dashboards, or sales analytics, and grow from there. No minimum team sizes and no long-term commitments.
What if the analyst isn't the right fit?
We replace them at no additional cost. Data analysis fit is specific: your tools, your data sources, your business context, your stakeholders. If the match isn’t right after onboarding, we find someone who fits better.
