About this job

Are you a detail-oriented designer with a passion for creating efficient, innovative plumbing systems? We’re looking for a highly skilled Plumbing Designer to collaborate remotely with one of our clients, a Colorado-based engineering and architecture firm working on commercial, hospitality, institutional, and industrial projects. This is a full-time opportunity aligned with Mountain Time (MT).

What you will do

  • Draft and design plumbing systems using AutoCAD and Revit, including wastewater, domestic water, gas piping systems, Water Entry Rooms, mechanical rooms, equipment layouts, and piping routes.
  • Create detailed schematics and assemble full plumbing design documents based on project requirements.
  • Coordinate with in-house Project Managers and MEP cross-functional teams throughout the design process.
  • Ensure all designs meet industry standards, local codes, and client expectations.
  • Review and revise drawings, maintaining organized documentation using Bluebeam.
  • Support prototype assembly and provide technical guidance during testing phases.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.

What you'll need to know

  • A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3–5+ years of experience as a Plumbing Designer/Drafter.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, drafting techniques, and GD&T.
  • Ability to assemble mechanical components while following safety standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team environment

A great plus

  • Experience working on US-based commercial, hospitality, educational, institutional, or industrial projects.
  • Background in mechanical engineering or related fields.
