CAD Drafter (Full Time, Washington)

Are you a detail-oriented CAD Drafter with strong experience in 2D CAD and architectural documentation? Do you enjoy developing precise drawings and supporting teams through complex project phases? We’re looking for a CAD Drafter to support a Washington-based architecture firm working on institutional and commercial projects.
This role involves collaborating with the internal design team to develop and coordinate architectural drawings, primarily during the Design Development (DD) and Construction Documents (CD) phases. Projects include new free-standing churches, church renovations, academies and grade schools, and college buildings. This is a full-time remote opportunity aligned with Pacific Time (PT).

What you will do

  • Develop and coordinate architectural drawings using 2D CAD (AutoCAD or similar).
  • Support the preparation of drawings during the Design Development (DD) and Construction Documents (CD) phases.
  • Produce DD–CD sets including floor plans, sections, and elevations.
  • Prepare permit sets for submission to local authorities.
  • Develop Construction Document packages for presentation to the General Contractor.
  • Accurately pick up redlines and implement revisions during the CD phase.
  • Support the development of architectural details and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with the internal design team to ensure drawings are accurate, coordinated, and aligned with project requirements.
  • Provide general drafting support across different drawing types within the DD and CD phases.

What you'll need to know

  • Strong proficiency in 2D CAD, AutoCAD and SketchUp.
  • Experience producing architectural drawings and construction documentation.
  • Experience developing and coordinating architectural details.
  • Experience working on commercial or institutional building projects.
  • Advanced English level and strong communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow project standards and documentation requirements.

A great plus

  • Experience working on institutional projects such as schools, academies, churches, or college buildings.
  • Familiarity with U.S.-based architectural documentation workflows.
  • Experience collaborating with distributed or remote design teams.
