Are you a Structural Engineer with solid technical experience and a passion for producing high-quality BIM models, structural analysis, and construction documents? One of our Florida-based clients is looking for a Structural Design Engineer to join their team full-time, supporting a wide range of structural engineering projects with moderate independence and strong technical execution.

What you will do

Develop 3D Building Information Models (BIM) and structural analysis/design models using advanced software for projects of all complexities.
Perform computer-aided and hand-calculated structural analysis, design, and detailing for steel, concrete, masonry, and timber systems, including highly complex structures.
Prepare Construction Documents in Autodesk Revit, ensuring high-quality structural plans and details that follow internal standards.
Coordinate structural design with architects and other engineering disciplines at an intermediate level.
Review structural submittals and RFIs of all levels of complexity.
Conduct Construction Observation and Special Inspections for internal and external projects.
Prepare organized, clear, and accurate structural calculations, along with field observation, inspection, and investigative reports.
Support Project Managers and Project Engineers with technical execution and coordination tasks.
Assist with introductory project management activities, discussing allocated time per task regularly with the Project Manager.
Provide introductory supervision and mentorship to junior engineers when needed.
Log time daily in accordance with project requirements and align with project schedules.
Maintain high standards of accuracy, clarity, and consistency in all deliverables.

What you'll need to know

Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
Advanced English level.
+4 years of experience in structural engineering.
Experience working on multifamily residential or similar building projects.
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and structural analysis software such as RAM SS or RAM Concept.
Strong grasp of statics, mechanics of materials, and structural analysis (traditional and matrix-based).
Advanced understanding of steel, concrete, masonry, and timber design methodologies.
Working knowledge of concrete, wood framing, and steel framing systems.
Familiarity with BIM modeling and preparation of construction documents.
Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and deliver high-quality work with moderate independence.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
Clear, concise, and grammatically correct technical communication in emails, reports, and inquiries.
Collaborative mindset, sharing information openly and constructively with colleagues, supervisors, and clients.

A great plus

Advanced understanding of U.S. building codes such as FBC and IBC.
Advanced understanding of design standards such as ASCE 7, ACI 318, and AISC Steel Construction Manual.
Experience using tools such as Enercalc or similar structural design software.
Knowledge of field observation and inspection techniques for large and complex projects.
Experience reviewing submittals, RFIs, and coordinating across disciplines.
Familiarity with structured engineering documentation and reporting standards.
Interest in continuous learning through codes, manuals, and industry publications outside office hours.
