Rhino Interior Designer – Hospitality (Part Time, New York)

About this job

Are you a creative Interior Designer with a passion for hospitality spaces and contemporary interiors? We’re looking for an Interior Designer to collaborate remotely with our client, a New York-based design studio. This is a part-time opportunity — you should be available to work Eastern Standard Time (EST). Apply today!

BetterPros unlocks human potential by offering competitive compensation, flexibility, constant learning and growth, and the opportunity to work anywhere you want with one of our +130 active clients across the United States.

What you will do

  • Support the design and documentation process across all project phases — Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documents — for hospitality, retail, workplace, and experiential projects.
  • Produce 3D models and drawing sets in Rhino, including floor plans, sections, and elevations that reflect a contemporary interiors sensibility.
  • Develop quick renderings during DD to communicate design intent and support client presentations.
  • Prepare permit sets to present to local authorities, as well as CD sets to present to general contractors.
  • Pick up redlines and incorporate revisions efficiently throughout the design process.
  • Collaborate as a hybrid design partner, contributing strong spatial instincts and visual storytelling to each project.
  • Coordinate with the studio team, taking direction and moving work forward independently in a small, fast-moving environment.
  • Explore and apply AI workflows to enhance design and production processes where relevant.

What you'll need to know

  • A degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
  • Advanced proficiency in Rhino, with a strong rendering workflow.
  • Advanced English level.
  • Proven experience in hospitality interior design projects, particularly hotels.
  • Strong presentation and visual storytelling skills.
  • A contemporary interiors sensibility and a refined eye for spatial design.
  • Good judgment, design maturity, and responsiveness.
  • Ability to take direction and move work forward independently with minimal oversight.
  • Interest in AI workflows is a plus.
  • Comfort working in a small, fast-moving studio environment.
