Are you experienced in residential wood-frame design and skilled with tools like EnerCalc, Forte, and AutoCAD? Our client, a Maryland-based firm, is looking for a full-time Structural Engineer to support residential projects. What you’ll do:
- Design residential structures including wood-framed roofs, floors, and walls.
- Incorporate steel beams and concrete foundations into structural plans
- Use EnerCalc and Forte for structural analysis and load calculations.
- Draft and modify drawings using AutoCAD with precision and attention to detail.
- Ensure all designs meet local codes and are ready for permitting.
- Collaborate with project teams and local engineers to ensure quality and compliance.
What you must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in residential structural design.
- Proficiency in EnerCalc, Forte, and AutoCAD.
- Experience with wood-frame construction and multi-material systems.
- Familiarity with permit-ready drawings and building code compliance.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- An advanced English level.
