Visualization Architect (Flex, Bahamas)

About this job

Are you a fast, detail-oriented architectural visualization specialist who enjoys turning early design ideas into compelling renderings? We’re looking for a Visualization Architect to support a client working on urban design projects, helping them put together a presentation built around quick, high-impact renderings during the Schematic Design phase, with the opportunity to expand to other projects as needed. This is a flexible, project-based role built around discrete engagements rather than a continuous daily commitment.

Think of this as a design-visualization role: you’ll be the rendering toolkit that brings the client’s urban design vision to life for presentations, producing quick, clear visuals that communicate ideas effectively at an early stage.

BetterPros unlocks human potential by offering competitive compensation, flexibility, constant learning and growth, and the opportunity to work anywhere you want with one of our +130 active clients across the United States.

What you will do

  • Take SketchUp models and design inputs and develop them into quick renderings for Schematic Design presentations.
  • Produce fast, high-quality renders that communicate urban design ideas clearly, including streetscapes, public spaces, building massing, and site context.
  • Help put together a presentation that uses renderings to tell the story of the project.
  • Work from incomplete inputs: sketches, massing studies, site plans, and reference imagery.
  • Develop conceptual visualizations during early design phases.
  • Create massing, material, and spatial studies to support design exploration at the urban scale.
  • Deliver one-off rendering packages per project milestone rather than a continuous daily commitment.
  • Interpret design intent and translate it into accurate, compelling visualizations.
  • Implement revisions quickly based on client feedback.
  • Support multiple project deliverables while maintaining quality and efficiency.

What you'll need to know

  • Proven experience as a Visualization Architect, Architectural Visualizer, or Rendering Specialist.
  • A strong portfolio of architectural renderings, ideally including urban design projects.
  • Proficiency in SketchUp plus a rendering engine of your choice (e.g., Enscape, V-Ray, Lumion, D5, Twinmotion, or similar).
  • Demonstrated experience producing quick renders for Schematic Design or early-stage presentations.
  • Experience working on urban design projects.
  • Strong understanding of scale, context, lighting, composition, and visual storytelling.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Ability to interpret design intent from incomplete or sketch-level information.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality visual output.
  • Reliable, fast turnaround on a per-project basis.
  • Availability to work on a flexible, on-demand basis for discrete engagements.

A great plus

  • Experience designing and assembling client-facing presentations (e.g., InDesign, PowerPoint, or similar).
  • Experience with master planning, mixed-use, or public realm projects.
  • Experience with island, coastal, or resort-style environments.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and additional rendering or post-production tools (e.g., Photoshop).
  • Experience using AI visualization tools for rendering enhancement.
  • Ability to create conceptual visualizations from sketches or reference images.
