Luxury Residential Architect (Full Time, Florida)

About this job

Do you have a genuine passion for thoughtful residential design, where proportion, materials, and how people live within a home matter just as much as the technical drawing set? We’re looking for one or more talented Freelance Architects to work remotely with our client, a boutique architecture firm based in Tampa, Florida, focused exclusively on highly customized, high-end residences. This is a freelance opportunity to collaborate on several luxury custom residential projects currently underway. Apply today!

BetterPros unlocks human potential by offering competitive compensation, flexibility, constant learning and growth, and the opportunity to work anywhere you want with one of our +130 active clients across the United States.

  • Prepare the CD Permit Set to present to local authorities.
  • Deliver the final CD set to present to the general contractor.
  • Pick up redlines and markups accurately, maintaining graphic and technical consistency across the set.
  • Research materials, products, building systems, and zoning/code requirements throughout the design and construction phases.
  • Coordinate closely with consultants, interior designers, and builders on sophisticated residential projects.
  • Contribute thoughtfully to both design and technical problem solving, with a focus on how the home will be lived in.
  • Work with minimal oversight, independently managing and prioritizing your tasks.

What you'll need to know

  • A bachelor’s degree in Architecture or higher.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in luxury custom single-family residential architecture.
  • Experience working on projects in Florida.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (must own your own license).

  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • Collaborative, professional, dependable, and genuinely enjoyable to work with.

A great plus

  • Experience with TwinMotion or other 3D rendering / visualization software.
