Project Manager (Full Time, New York)

About this job

Do you enjoy leading complex construction documentation processes and keeping multidisciplinary teams aligned from design through delivery? Are you proactive, detail-oriented, and confident coordinating consultants, contractors, and stakeholders across residential and commercial projects? We’re looking for a Project Manager to lead the coordination and documentation process for multifamily residential and office projects based in New York.

This is a full-time remote opportunity, ideal for someone highly organized, autonomous, and experienced managing the full lifecycle of construction documentation, from SD through CD sets ready for general contractor bidding.

BetterPros unlocks human potential by offering competitive compensation, flexibility, constant learning and growth, and the opportunity to work anywhere you want with one of our +130 active clients across the United States.

What you will do

  • Coordinate overall project progress and track the status of all outstanding tasks.
  • Maintain constant, proactive communication with the client on the status of each project.
  • Coordinate consultants, contractors, and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure documentation and project files are properly organized and easy to navigate.
  • Proactively communicate changes, pending items, and risks before they become blockers.
  • Coordinate the integration of information between technical specifications and construction drawings.
  • Keep the internal team informed of new tasks or modifications that impact the project.
  • Participate, when needed, in meetings with clients, consultants, or contractors, and relay relevant information back to the team.
  • Support the development of SD, DD, and CD sets, including floor plans, sections, and elevations, through to the final CD set presented to the general contractor.

What you'll need to know

  • Solid experience leading Construction Documentation processes.
  • Experience in Construction Administration (desirable).
  • Experience working with Project Manuals, in MasterSpec format or similar.
  • Proven experience coordinating technical documentation for construction projects.
  • Experience working directly with consultants, contractors, and vendors, coordinating the collection of technical information.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams throughout project development.
  • Working knowledge of Revit; prior drafting experience is a plus but not a core requirement (project management experience is weighted far more heavily than Revit proficiency).
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam (required) and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with residential (multifamily) and office projects.
  • Strong organizational and document management skills, with the ability to maintain clear file structures and organized processes.
  • Solid understanding of the full project documentation workflow, including how specifications and construction drawings are coordinated.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly proactive approach to task follow-up, with the autonomy to drive projects forward without constant supervision.
  • Strong ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and manage time effectively.
  • Sharp attention to detail.
  • A collaborative mindset oriented toward cross-team coordination.
