What you will do

Monitor project financial performance, including budget-to-actuals, cost tracking, utilization, and margin analysis.
Prepare monthly project financial reports for Project Managers and leadership, highlighting risks, variances, and opportunities.
Support forecasting processes by updating revenue and cost projections based on project progress.
Prepare and issue accurate client invoices based on contractual terms (time & materials, fixed fee, milestones, percent-complete).
Review timesheets, expenses, and subcontractor invoices for accuracy prior to billing.
Perform monthly revenue recognition calculations in accordance with company policy and relevant accounting standards.
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or client inquiries.
Partner with Project Managers to analyze project performance and recommend adjustments to maintain or improve profitability.
Conduct project closeout activities, including final invoicing, budget reconciliation, and documentation archiving.
Support internal and external audits by providing project-related financial documentation and insights.
Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and industry accounting standards.
Maintain organized records supporting billing, revenue recognition, and cost allocations.
Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance financial accuracy and operational efficiency.

What you'll need to know

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
An advanced English level.
At least 3 years of experience in a similar project accounting role.
Hands-on experience with Deltek Vantagepoint (ERP system).
Advanced proficiency in Excel (including data analysis tools such as pivot tables and formulas).
Strong understanding of project accounting principles, including revenue recognition and cost tracking.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to quickly adapt and hit the ground running in a short-term coverage role.
