About this job

Are you highly proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Enscape? Do you have solid experience producing architectural drawings during the Design Development and Construction Documents phases? Can you turn redlines and design intent into accurate, well-coordinated sets of plans? We are looking for a detail-oriented Architectural Modeler to collaborate remotely with our client, an architecture firm based in Maryland that serves institutional and commercial clients, working on projects that include new free-standing churches, church renovations, academies and grade schools, and college buildings.

You will play a key role in developing and coordinating architectural drawings throughout the SD, DD, and CD phases, while also creating 3D SketchUp models and renders that elevate design presentations. What you will do

Develop and coordinate architectural drawings using 2D CAD.
Assist in the preparation of drawings during the Design Development (DD) and Construction Documents (CD) phases.
Develop complete CD sets of plans, including floor plans, sections, and elevations.
Prepare permit sets to present to local authorities and complete CD sets for general contractors.
Pick up redlines during the SD and CD phases.
Create 3D SketchUp models and renders to enhance design visualization and client presentations.
Support the production of architectural details and technical documentation.
Provide general drafting support across different drawing types within the DD and CD phases.
Collaborate with the client’s internal design team to ensure drawings are accurate and aligned with project requirements.
Ensure all deliverables are well organized, accurate, and completed on schedule.

What you'll need to know

Proven experience as a CAD Drafter, Architectural Modeler, or similar role.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Enscape.
Experience producing architectural drawings and construction documentation.
The ability to develop and coordinate architectural details.
Experience working on commercial or institutional building projects.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow project standards.
An advanced English level.
High level of autonomy and strong self-management skills.

A great plus

Experience with Revit or other BIM software.
Familiarity with US construction standards and the imperial system.
Experience creating reusable SketchUp components or CAD block libraries.
Previous experience working with US-based architecture firms.
