About this job:

Are you a skilled SolidWorks CAD Designer with a strong eye for detail and the ability to turn pictures and reference figures into accurate 3D models? We’re looking for a Semi Senior SolidWorks CAD Designer to collaborate with one of our Florida-based clients on a flexible, fully remote basis. You should be available to work during Eastern Standard Time (EST) for this Flex position.

What you will do:

Develop SolidWorks 3D assembly models based on figures and reference pictures of four (4) existing aviation wing inspection light assemblies.
Model functional components such as light housings, internal structures, reflectors, lenses, flashtube holders, gaskets, seals, mounting plates, brackets, and fasteners.
Create basic 2D detail drawings sufficient for functional understanding and prototyping.
Work at a functional / prototyping level of detail (non-cosmetic).
Visualize real-world components from limited documentation and translate them into clear, accurate CAD models.

What you'll need to know:

Proven experience in 3D modeling and drafting using SolidWorks.
Strong ability to interpret pictures, figures, and existing references to build accurate models.
Excellent attention to detail and spatial visualization skills.
Experience creating assemblies and basic 2D drawings for prototyping purposes.
Your own licensed SolidWorks environment.
An advanced English level.

A great plus:

Experience modeling mechanical or electromechanical assemblies.
Background in industrial design, mechanical drafting, or similar technical roles.
